Guy Fawkes’ Night is a tradition connected with British history. Guy Fawkes and some other people wanted to kill the King. They made a tunnel under the Houses of Parliament and brought gunpowder there. When the plot was discovered they had already brought 36 barrels. After Guy Fawkes had been arrested he was executed. And now on the 5th of November children make a dummy of straw and old clothes. They call it Guy and burn it on a bonfire. Before the day children try to collect some money going around and asking: "Penny for the guy”
